Debbie and Gina, I'm so glad to "see" you on the blog!
I'm sitting here watching the game (the commercials) with Rob, and my cousin and his wife. They came to visit this weekend from North Carolina. They have a one-year-old son named Gavin. He is adorable. Katie calls him "bebe boi". She seems to enjoy having another toddler in the house. I think she'll enjoy having a sibling.
Katie officially knows her colors now (red, yellow, blue, orange, green, pink, purple), and she's been showing off all weekend, to keep our attention. She's a little jealous of Gavin, when we hold him, but otherwise, she likes him, and they play well together.
We're working on the alphabet now. After she learns the song, we'll do one letter a week. She already knows "B", and "T" thanks to Aric. You know those Sesame Street ABC books you gave us, Aric? We read those before naps and bedtime, and she loves them. Of course, she calls every single letter "B" or "T", but it's a start. She started learning to count by counting steps, but now she's obsessed with the Winnie the Pooh counting DVD from Aric, and her counting is getting better every day. She knows "1,2, 3, ...5,...6............Yea!!!"
Taylor, congratulations on your new gig!
Abigail, congratulations on your new laptop!
Milt, thanks for the recipe. I'll probably try it this week.
I love you guys,
Christy

Oh my gosh- you guys have to post a video! We need to see all her new tricks!
Loved the Bud Light commercials, as usual!! I agree with Melissa, you need to post a video of Katie. Hope you have a great visit with the cousins!
Hey, what was your "first posting" present?
Our prize was a cookbook called, "Beautiful Breads and Fabulous Fillings". Pretty cool, considering Rob's latest obsession --- I mean project.
I'll get the video camera out tomorrow, and see if I can catch her showing off.
By the way, guess what! Katie tee-teed in the potty two nights ago. I guess we'll start potty training now?
She pointed to the potty seats at the store (she sees them at all our playdates, because the kids are all 2 or 2 1/2). I bought it and brought it home, thinking she could just get used to seeing it or something, but as soon as we got home, she wanted to put it on the potty. Then she wanted to sit on it, and didn't want to get down. So we sat there just singing songs, (I was thinking she'd get bored and we'd be finished soon) and she tee-teed and laughed out loud. I don't know if she knew what she was doing, or if we just sat there long enough, but it was pretty cool. Now she wants to sit on the potty all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME. So we'll see. I wasn't planning to start potty training until August, but I guess we're unofficially starting now. We'll see.
I'm sure you took some pics of Katie playing w/ Gavin. Post 'em!! It's real super easy to do, but no one has put up any pics or videos except me, and I need visual aid!!!
